7 Tips To Care For Inkjet Printers

A printer is a necessity that is mandatory for owners of computers, offices, shops, etc. A printer is a tool that you can use to print documents in the form of text, images, etc. from a computer on paper media or the like.
An inkjet printer is a type of printer that uses ink filling tubes outside the printer so you don't have to bother having to disassemble the printer if you refill ink. This printer is most widely used by people or small businesses such as internet cafes. This is because the prices of inkjet printers are relatively cheap.
The disadvantages of inkjet printers and other printers are the damage. Considering that a printer is an important tool, you should treat the printer properly. There are a number of tips for caring for inkjet printers, laser printers, and ordinary printers to last a long time. Here are a few tips to keep the printer durable considering the printer is easily damaged.

Printer Care Tips:

                  1. Use the printer as often as possible

do not let the printer not be used at all. Inkjet printers that are left for a long time will cause the ink in the cartridge head to dry, which will clog the printing process. I recommend at least a week the printer must be used.

2. Perform Clean Head regularly

How to care for the next printer is to routinely do a "clean head". This process is the most widely done way to treat the printer. The goal is that the printer head is not clogged and is able to absorb ink well. To then channel it to paper to the maximum.
This treatment system is generally owned by every printer. You just need to reread the manual that was included when buying the printer. Because different brands of printers are usually different ways to do a clean head. However, don't do clean heads too often. Just around 1-2 weeks.
If too often it can cause the ink container to not hold ink or experience flooding.

3. Maintain Printer Cleanliness

Keeping the printer clean is the first thing you have to do so that the printer can last longer. When you are finished using the printer and there are no plans to use it in the near future, cover it with a soft cloth or a special cover of the printer. Especially in the part of laying paper which is vulnerable to dust and dirt. Dirt that enters this section and has accumulated, can block the paper. At the very least, the dirt is carried in and attached to the printer head. This condition will clearly interfere with the quality of the mold and make the printer head quickly damaged.
Therefore, make sure you clean the printer regularly. At least once a week. The frequency can be less if you rarely use a printer, but the printer must always be in a closed condition.

4. Turn off the printer with the power button

Also, note how to turn off the printer. Do not immediately pull out the adapter cable that attaches to the power line. Turn it off by pressing the on/off button until all the lights on the printer are off. so that the cartridge position returns to its proper place. Therefore, do not get used to turning off the printer through the socket.
Press this on / off button for 2-3 seconds and wait for the light to turn off. Only then do you unplug the power cord from the printer. Also includes a USB cable that connects the printer with a computer. How to treat a printer like this will avoid a short circuit. Even though this is rare, there is no harm in taking precautionary measures and anticipating them.

5. Don't overprint

There is one thing that is often overlooked by the owners of printers, namely excessive printing. Forcing the printer to work extra will only make life shorter. The real printer head has a working time limit. When you force printing in large quantities quickly, then the condition of the printer head will definitely be exhausted. This is what will then make the printer's performance decrease.
Even if you have to print in large quantities, for example printing 200 sheets, do it gradually. The first step is printing 25 sheets and resting the printer for a few minutes. Continue to the next stage, and do it step by step while still giving a break to the printer.
This method is ideal for printers who have used an IV system. The existence of an ink container outside the printer and connected by a hose also requires rest. Because the printer head will work harder to take ink that is a little far away in the infusion system.

6. Use recommended ink

Do not look trivial using printer ink. Always use printer ink as recommended by the manufacturer. The use of original ink will give maximum results to each printed page. Use ink from just one brand. The use of the ink from various brands will only make the printout not optimal.
Because usually, the color density of each brand varies. This should be noted if you use a printer with an IV system. This system makes it easy to fill ink. However, mixing one brand of ink with another brand will produce a color that is not solid.
In addition, the mixed ink will make the cartridge performance less than optimal. A cartridge that still reads the color level of brand A ink suddenly gets different levels of color from ink B, it will definitely be confused. The result, of course, the colors in the prints will not be perfect.

7. Fill in the ink before the ink runs out

Routinely check the condition of the ink inside the cartridge. Do not let you not realize that the ink has run out while still using the printer. If you use a printer in the condition that the ink has run out, surely the printer will experience an error. Delaying your ink will cause the cartridge to become abnormal. When things like this often happen, over time the cartridge won't work anymore.
